Question by Kieran: Sleep paralysis this time with loud ringing in ears?
I woke up for class today (im in college) but it was cancelled so i went back to bed…i fell back asleep for a while and then started dreaming, all of a sudden the dream felt so real but i like woke up and knew i was about to experience sleep paralysis so i tried to fight it and then i got this loud ringing noise in my ears that got louder and louder. once i woke up i now feel extremely weird and out of it…is this normal or should i get checked out?

It’s normal enough, as sleep paralysis and the early stages of out of body experience go. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Exploding_head_syndrome talks about it a little.
